Remember when I was working on decluttering the entertainment center? I've made some progress...where all the CDs were, I now have an empty shelf, as seen above. Most of the CDs moved into the cabinet on the right side, and some of them are on their way to new homes.
Good grief, it's hard to get rid of things though, isn't it? But it feels good...I am loving an empty shelf above the TV! Almost empty...I did design a Halloween printable and put it up there:

You can down load it HERE.
I did another one as well, that can be found HERE.

We have a few more Halloween decorations out, and now we need to get to work on making a steam train costume...wish me luck! I have had to make costumes each year, as my son likes to pick really obscure things that you can't buy. So far he has been a bald eagle, a penguin, and a green diesel train. I feel like a steam train is going to be a little trickier...I'm not sure how we're going to make the boiler yet.
Do you make your children's costumes? What's the most unusual costume request your kids have made? I'd love to read it in the comments!

How fun!! I made a lot of my kids costumes. My kids always tended to pick the costumes that were not for sale anywhere. (hint: it's usually the future artistic kid that does this - my son is extremely musical and can draw beautifully)
ReplyDeleteThe best two - Willy Wonka - he loved that costume!! And then one year he wanted to be a Pick Up Stix (chinese restaurant here) take out box!!
It was the absolute best. He even went into the restaurant to show them and they were so impressed they treated us all to lunch!
