Gah! We started painting the bathroom yesterday and I don't like the color I chose...it's too light. Off to the paint store to see if they will re-tint it. I love the above photo, but wonder if it's too dark for our little room.
Back to the drawing board...
I like the black & white combination. I think it's pretty, but it's definitely dramatic (not in a bad way). If you want something softer, I'd go for a greyish blue. :)

That's so frustrating when that happens...been there before. I think my worst painting "faux pas" was a neon-ish green I picked out for the kids bathroom many years ago. The intensity of all 4 walls bouncing off each other was HELP!!! I had to repaint the whole bathroom about 5 shade lighter!

I had no idea they could re-tint paint! I'm so bad at picking out paint colors, and those little swatches are terrible at picturing how the room will look. Last time I picked out a paint color (light yellow), came home and painted half a wall before realizing it was essentially the SAME COLOR as it was before (a sandy beige).
