I found Catch this morning when I was looking for a way to use my phone to stay more organized. It is a very cool organizational app that allows you to create spaces or categories (like mine in the photo above), and then within each space you can make lists, store photos, record a message, set a phone reminder, or write a detailed note. You can keep the spaces private or share ideas with other users.

I LOVE it! And I love that it's visually appealing...I'm a nerd like that. You click the plus sign, and this fun little wheel pops up that lets you choose what you want to do.

I think Catch will be especially helpful for remembering gift ideas. I always think of things for people, or myself during the year, and then when an actual birthday rolls around, I forget what my ideas were. With this app I can even take photos when shopping and store them in a list. I also think it will be helpful for remembering the things we need to do around the house. Like the larger chores that we do once a year, or the remodeling projects we'd like to tackle in the future.
The best part is that this app is free! And yes, I realize that this is starting to sound like a sponsored post, but it isn't. I'm just excited and wanted to share this with you.
Do you use your phone to stay organized? What apps work for you?

Cool! I haven't heard of this one. I use epicurious for cooking and shopping list ideas at the grocery store. The other one I like is Christmas Wish List. It keeps track of what I've bought, what I still need to buy and how much I've spent.
ReplyDeleteLife is busy and any little thing that can help out, I'm all for it!
Ooh, I'll have to check out Christmas Wish List! I do that kind of thing on paper, but it's hard to track how much I've spent that way. Thanks for the recommendation!
DeleteI'll have to see if that is available for iPhone. I will be using my Cook'n app as soon as it comes out. I'll be able to see all of my menus and grocery lists on my phone. I have a calendar on my phone that I can color code all of my appointments and stuff so at a glance I know what is coming up without having to pull it up. I really like that one, and it syncs with my computer calendar as well.
ReplyDeleteI've been using Evernote for that type of thing. But it won't do phone reminders. This one definitely looks cooler ;-) I also use seize the day for work deadlines, and the basic reminder list my phone came with for home/non-work stuff.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I just downloaded the app. Thanks,
