We actually have a lot of storage in this house. A pretty large linen closet, a closet in each bedroom, a small pantry off of the kitchen plus all the storage units we bought from IKEA.
So my question to myself lately is this:
WHY are our storage areas stuffed with the things that we DON'T use, so that we have nowhere to put the things we DO use?
I decided to start in the living room with our big unit from IKEA. The CDs have been pared back and moved and the cabinets are being cleaned out.
That's my project for today, to continue making these cabinets and shelves work for us instead of holding a bunch of stuff I don't really use.
(Yes, we have a lot of CDs...we are musicians, plus we like to pretend it's still the 90's over here. wink!)

"Stuff" has a way of overtaking, not sure how it happens but it just does. I'm in the process of some rearranging and de-cluttering all my serving dishes - I have way tooooooooo many!!
ReplyDeleteDo post pics when you're done - curious to see!
We are CD people too! haha...I gotta hold the "album" so to speak...look at the cover...read the stuff inside. haha...
ReplyDeleteOh, man. I can sooooo relate to this storage dilema. I have empty drawers...the clutter on my desk should be moved to those. :)
